Hopefully you know something I may miss. Do I need to install any driver or device package for Axis cameras? My best guess is that perhaps the DS Pelco API either isn’t working with the 3rd party cameras properly or it’s using a different pe,co of ports.

But the Axis camera is very slow to respond and moves very slow I would say customer will qxis accept that. Pelco by Schneider Electric. Regardless that’s alright for now You asked if there is a device driver or package — I’m honestly not certain.

Consider Axis is such common camera, it should work with it. I don’t think that there is, but the Support team would be the one to consult on that.
