The list reported by the scanner can be displayed using the “–help -d epkowa” parameters to scanimage. When I connect the printer, Ubuntu searches a driver, but does not find. An integer number starting at the beginning of a line will be interpreted as the Pxa620 address of the parallel port.

Maybe similar to Photo Scanner ? The –halftoning switch selects the px-z620 that is used in Binary mode. Please consult the manpages and the author-supplied webpages for more detailed and usually important information concerning each backend.
