For some reason, you can’t get these directly from JMicron, and the “official” drivers at the Acer download site are XP-only. When I tried, Windows complained that jmb83x driver didn’t support this version of Windows. Message 3 of Message 1 of Weird because it was working perfectly.

Try the Intel chip set update utility. If you look closely you’ll notice that each of these devices are in fact different. Good to know that there is a Vista version available though. The XP version works perfect for jb38x. I’ve tried un-installing the devices and re-installing to allow Windows to re-detect but no drivers are found.
